ornament craze

Hand painting ornaments has become a highlight of my year. This year, I even decided to launch some in July. Everybody needs a little Christmas in July, no? It’s been surreal and incredible to have all of my last 3 ornament drops SELL OUT. I’m going to photo dump some of my favorites.

This is my favorite from this summer’s Christmas in July drop. I created only SIX ornaments, inspired by my abstract collection, Dreamscape. The collection was full of life and beachy tones and I couldn’t help but translate it’s vibe onto these beautiful spinning baubles.

The 2020 ornament collection was a semi-classic Christmas palette. With my own renditions of red and green, I created some soft, patterned baubles. For 2021, I let my dreams run wild for palette inspiration. I’ve been dreaming of the desert recently - Arches National Park specifically - so I decided on a wild range of colors for this drop. The first being, Terracotta Rust, a lovely desert orange.

Once I saw the dark base, I knew I had to keep going. Inspiration hit and I came up with 5 palettes for the 2021 collection. In addition to the Terracotta Rust, I came up with Midnight Blue, Winter Green, Morning Snow, and Dusted Tangerine. I fell back on my cathartic abstract process and launched the first round of 25 which SOLD OUT in less than an hour. Mind BLOWN.

The next round is coming November 8, 2021, and I couldn’t be more excited.
