Life giving poppies

It’s absolutely incredible to me the way these simple playful poppies bring so much warmth into my life. The process, from sketching their “dance” to mixing and blending watercolor, adding deep green stems and letting the watercolor do its thing, it just makes me feel alive.

Every time I walk into the studio and see the sunlight hitting these finished pieces, I feel immediate joy.
