Abloom

I realized that for the last FOUR years, I’ve been inspired, mid-February to paint florals. It’s the promise of spring. In Georgia, by the end of February spring has sprung. The daffodils are popping up through the mulch, there is a light dusting of yellow on every windshield, and there have been at least five 70* days.

This year, with no plan, I deep cleaned my studio. I trashed EVERYTHING I didn’t use regularly. The next morning, with the sun shining, I entered a spotless studio and had nothing to do but paint. This is what happened.

While the collection is cohesive, it has three pretty distinct vibes.

  1. colorful and springy

  2. wild and free

  3. neutral and moody

SIXTEEN new works on paper, combined with some pretty incredible vintage frames, will be available on March 1. If you see something you’d love to snag before anyone else, my email list will have 24 hours of early access starting at 9 am EST on Thursday, February 29.
