Graphic Florals

I had the idea for over a year to take my abstract florals and create a more “graphic” look with them. Back in October I even purchased three oversized canvases to carry out the idea. Here we are 6 months later and I finally brought the idea to life. Super stoked by how they turned out.

The first of the two, “Leading Onward,” has super fun composition that can be hung vertically or horizontally. I loved creating eternity cocktails of paint to bounce from one color to the next while staying within a similar color family.

The second, “Leading Homeward,” brings to life my love for western landscape colors, through pinks, terracottas, and burnt oranges.

These pieces are SO large (48x60 inches) and have been taking over my studio for weeks. Though it was hard to photograph, I finally squeezed them onto my wall. :) Excited to paint a third, hopefully in May.
